Timberyard needed a refreshed visual identity that would reflect its evolution from a traditional lumber supplier into a modern, customer-focused home-improvement brand. I was hired to lead a full branding revamp, beginning with a redesigned logo and extending into collateral, visual systems, and a complete branding implementation guide.
My Role
-
Brand Identity Designer
-
Creative Direction
-
Collateral & Visual System Development
-
Brand Guidelines Creation
The Challenge
Timberyard’s previous branding lacked consistency and didn’t fully communicate the company’s craftsmanship, reliability, or modern approach. The goal was to create a brand identity that felt strong, contemporary, and instantly recognizable—one that could scale across print, digital, signage, and future product lines.
The Solution
I developed a new logo rooted in the themes of structure, durability, and simplicity. The mark balances modern geometric forms with a warm, grounded aesthetic inspired by natural materials. Using this foundation, I built a cohesive visual system that includes:
-
A refined colour palette with earthy, confident tones
-
Typography pairings that emphasize strength and clarity
-
Iconography and layout rules for consistent communication
-
Applications for social media, corporate documents, uniforms, and signage
To ensure long-term consistency, I produced a comprehensive Branding Implementation Guide that documents logo usage, spacing, colour specifications, typographic rules, visual tone, and real-world examples.
The Result
The new Timberyard identity elevates the brand into a more premium and professional space while staying true to its roots. The visual system is flexible enough for growth and simple enough for seamless adoption across the company’s marketing channels and touchpoints.
